Building a Stronger Region through Collaboration
Building a competitive region requires collaboration among our local counties’ governments, organizations and businesses. The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce works to foster this collaboration and promote real discussion among elected officials and business leaders in Greater Philadelphia.
To that end, we invite Chamber members to attend the GPCC County Leadership Luncheon honoring the elected county officials from southeastern Pennsylvania, including Mayor Michael A. Nutter, the Board of Commissioners of Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties, and the Delaware County Council.
This luncheon will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Desmond Hotel & Conference Center in Malvern and will provide the opportunity to talk with our elected officials and network with other leaders.
This event is one of several that the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce presents throughout the year where GPCC members interested in policy issues can meet and connect with their local, regional, state and federal leaders. We host a Congressional Staff Luncheon, an all-day program in Washington, D.C. with members of our Congressional delegation, and receptions for Philadelphia City Council and the Mayor's Cabinet members, and in Harrisburg for the elected state officials.
Additionally, other Chamber events also attract elected officials. For example, our recent State of the Region event, which was held last week, was attended by Carol Aichele, Chester County Commissioner Chairman and Representative Paul Drucker, Member of the Pennsylvania House.
As the premier voice of the business community, the Chamber communicates regularly with elected officials to convey the views of our members. To learn more about our public policy initiatives and how we are connecting leaders through our region, view our website here.
