Sen. Bill Frist To Keynote Examining Health Care Reform

The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce strives to bring you relevant programs and events and realizes the importance of bringing you high-profile speakers who can deliver thoughtful insights on matters that affect your business.

That is why we are pleased to invite you to attend a timely discussion on health care reform and the potential impact it could have on your business with former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist. The event will take place on Friday, November 20, 7:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel, located in Center City.

As an author, Harvard-trained heart transplant surgeon, and professor of medicine and business at Vanderbilt, Frist is regarded as one of the most influential leaders in national health care. His new book, A Heart to Serve: The Passion to Bring Health, Hope, and Healing, will be available for purchase at the program.

The program will also include a panel discussion and Q&A session on rising health care costs, industry challenges, and the current impact of health care reform on the business community. Moderated by Paul H. Keckley, Ph.D., Executive Director of the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions, panelists include:

  • Jack Carroll, Ph.D., CEO, Magee Rehabilitation Hospital
  • Joseph A. Frick, President & CEO, Independence Blue Cross
  • James A. Goodyear, M.D., President, Pennsylvania Medical Society
  • Peter Turner, President, CSL Behring
